Greetings Mongrels!

God had mercy on my soul last night and forced the postponement of our football game at half-time due to lightning and mongo thunderstorm, so I, of course, being the good little God-fearing christian I try to be, saw this omen as 'Get your furry butt back home and lead the Mongrels to ultimate victory!!'

At least, I think that's what I saw in the lightning.

A guy standing next to me said it looked like a bunny.

I dunno...   but I raced home anyway and got to log a little stick time in the 38..  Ahhhhh....

Attending:
Drone
TeeRex
Harppa
ASAdog

<edit:  I meant to comment on Harppa's commitment to the squad by being online after only getting 2 hours of sleep due to the 'mosquito' conference he's attending.. Thanks for being there Harppa!!   right_salute /endedit >

We split into 2 scout groups to hunt down the Antwerp attackers.
Drone/Harppa
TeeRex/ASAdog

We were joined on squad vox by 68Cactus who acted as liason officer between the two squads.

The enemy attacked from the SE at about 35k in 190D9s and mixed it up with the 68s.
We saw no evidence of any bombers, but some postings in AH BBS  indicate there were a few JABO 190s as part of the mix, which coincides with observation of a few burned out buildings in the target area as we descended to refuel/rearm.

Harppa and I engaged a handful of 190s at 25 or 26k.

I got a shot at a single Dora, but compressed when I split-essed to find Harrpa and try to help him clear one off his 6.
I recovered around 10k ( Forgot about the silly dive brakes!! )

Harppa caught up and the area was clear of bad guys.

We refueled/rearmed at 56 and reupped for a second attack.

A little while later 3 formations of stratospheric AR-234s made a bomb run on the target and left the area unmolested.
This attack is being questioned for its legality in the AH BBS, also.

From the political spin aspect,

We survived 100% of our takeoffs.
We survived 100% of landings to refuel.
We survived 100% of our refueling.
We survived 100% of our takeoffs after refueling.
We survived 100% of our final landings.

Thanks for those that attended.  Great to see ya!!

Hopefully we'll get to draw a little blood next week!
