So, I go to Minneapolis ( Eagan, MN, Actually ) for IB Adedeji Memorial Invitational Tumbling and Trampoline Meet this weekend.

Saturday night, the event organizer asks me to shoot the event for all the kids I can, not just our team, on Sunday.

125 kids... and I only have to shoot the double-mini and trampoline events.  Oh.. and some shots of the opening ceremony and awards would be appreciated.

We're friends by association with the sport, so I say 'Sure'.

First shot taken at 8:25AM today.. last shot at 4:58PM .. followed by a 6 hour drive home.

I'm exhausted:

So how many batteries do you have to shoot for 8.5 hours and 3200+ pics?

Believe it or not.. and I found this hard myself.. Just 2.

One was at about 1/3 capacity at beginning of meet and 2nd one was at 100%.  I drained them both.

14MP images.. just JPG only.  RAW files are just too big and I found I really don't need them for what I do with these.

I still had 2 other batteries in reserve.. but I was running out of memory.  Had the coordinator given me a heads up, I would have been a little better off, but some of my gear was at home... and I hadn't freed up some space on my laptop to download on the fly to make the cards available.
