After weeks of checking specs, comparison shopping and reading customer reviews I ordered all my components for my new computer build.  Slowly, each shipment came in and I carefully stacked everything in the corner in ardent anticipation.  Finally everything had arrived except the motherboard, I checked online to see when they expected to receive a new shipment and I learn that every socket lga 1155 motherboard has been recalled by Intel due to a defect in a 6 series Cougar Point support chip for the second generation i7 cpu's.  And now I wait...and wait... crybaby2

I do see a couple half-fulls here..

1.  The MB defect was discovered before you got the system built and installed.

2.  You don't have to return it.

3.  Wait another week, and technology will have advanced to where the MB is obsolete anyway.. Smiley

LOL Drone, very true.  Actually, Intel has already fixed the problem and shipped out the replacement chips to the motherboard manufacturers.  It's now just a waiting game as the warranty boards are replaced first and the new mobo's get to the vendors.  I guess I just need to learn to be more patient, something I definitely need to work on!
