Flew the B-29

Wow.

Damaged a CV. Sunk a Cruiser.
Took out 2 VH's. 3 FH's. 2 radars and some other targets I don't remember. Still had some bombs left as I headed home.

Never was attacked, but had lots of fun.

One question. How do you man the bottom turret? I can' get to that position.

waist or left and right gunners I believe. Only flown it once so far.

Kansas hit it on the head DD.  You have to man the left or right waist guns.

I can man the left and right waist gunners fine, it is the bottom turret I can't get to.

OK...maybe I don't understand. Are you guys saying the bottom gunner shoots at what the waist gunners shoot at? You can't man the bottom gun position?

Also anyone know which gun is the 20mm?

That's my understanding.. I need to spend some more time in it myself.

The 20mm is in the tail with 2 other 50 cals.

First weekend of shows is over.. 3 day break then final run.. I'll be around more soon.

Haven't flown one yet.. but I did shoot my first one down tonight...

Flew it once offline. Was a pain trying to get the enormous thing in the air. The amount of guns on that thing scare me. But the number of bombs it carries are even more frightening.

I flew it tonight. I was unimpressed. The thing can't even do a decent barrel roll without tearing the elevators off.
the B 17 is much better.

I have found that if you keep the nose down and the flaps up until you reach 130 to 140mph then drop flaps,it's much easier to get off the ground.
