Had Spinnich and Xcelsior on it last night for almost 3 hours.
Personally I prefer it to skype as you have to push to talk, so tend to get less stepping on each other.
We had some very good battles last night.

You will love it Daddog. It is very fun. It might be a bit frustrating at the beginning (sorta like AH at the beginning  ) but it will pay off in the end. In no time you'l be up to a tier 4 or 5 tank, then you can start being a real competitor. I'll be on a lot over Christmas break, so expect me on Ventrilo. Oh, and Ghosth, I don't know if you saw the news, but WoT is gonna be adding in-game vox so you can talk to your team mates! I am really looking forward to that update.

Its a bit like if Aces High started everyone in the Spit 1, the 109G2 or the Val.

It has a match making system to balance battles, that is being complained about quite a bit for Tier 4 and 5 tanks, as they can end up trying to take on much higher level tanks. Bit like if you worked your way up to the Spit 8 but you ended up in battle vs jets, tempests, etc.

But for starting your mostly going to see other Tier 1 tanks. As you do battles, gain XP and credits, you can before long unlock the next tank.  So you'd go from the spit 1 to the Spit v, more speed, better guns, etc.

Its actually a fairly interesting concept. Currently in beta everyone gets 150 gold per day for testing. Once it goes live, you will be able to buy gold at the rate of 2500 gold for about 10$.

You do have the option to buy premium tanks for gold, such as the Churchill or Matilida which can "jump" you directly to tier 5 battles. Most people use their gold to either buy premium account, transfer XP from one tank to another, or buy special ammo, or tanks.

I'll see about some screen shots for the different tech tree's later today.

I also think that its a free game that Jed might be interested in.
As you work your way down the tech tree you learn how to drive and do battle successfully.
And each tank has its own "style" of play that suits it best.

is anyone still playing this. Ive been playing since DEC, just not in a clan.. you know they updated and Added a new tree US Tank Destroyers. M10 wolverine and M36 Slugger to name a few. they have turrets some new premiums. Lowe anf KV5

I've kind of lost interest there, been big in Eve the last couple months.

There used to be a loose group of ex Aces High pilots playing WoT on the "Aces High" channel, worth a look.

fench tanks out today.. if you have free exp, i sugjest use them to by pass most low tier tanks.. will die alot  lol
