Here's a cool photo of the Earth and moon from 114 million miles away. It was taken by the MESSENGER spacecraft orbiting the sun.

I saw this picture in my theology class. Had to do some searching for it, but I found it. It was taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft in 1990 from 4 billion (yes, billion) miles away. Earth just happened to be caught in a ray of sunlight reflected from somewhere (website said something about dust) and Voyager was able to capture our tiny little planet in a picture. Makes you think, doesn't it?

P.S.- It's my birthday today. I can't believe I'm already 17. I finally got "With the Old Breed" by Eugene Sledge, "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis, and a Ka-Bar knife from my dad.
