Does not look like it was a good night for you guys.  Tongue
I counted about 3 or 4 discos. Not very many kills and quite a few deaths.  Embarrassed

What did you guys run into?

Just an FYI, for those of you that don't know Lambo. He was the C.O. of another squad a few years back. Great fellow who has attended a couple Aces High Con's. He has helped out members of this squad despite not being a Mongrel. Big generous heart he has. Was good to see him and I was not about to park him in the tower while I flew so I opted out and let him fly with you guys. Besides I was not sure I was going to fly anyway and mentioned that to Baumer earlier in the day.

No idea what his plans are for Aces High, but I will give him a jingle today and see what is going on. Maybe he will be looking for a new home. Smiley

What did you guys run into?

23 P40s and 10 B25 formations.

Initial film engagement  here:

http://www.ka4zzq.com/Mongrels/Attacked_0302.ahf

Wasn't very pretty.. Red everywhere

Couple of the enemy ( 9GIAP ) racked up a silly number of kills in their P40Es on us.

'Fish in barrel' comes to mind.

<edit>  'Fish in barrel' isn't right.  'Harvested' is more  like it.

53 enemy aircraft vs 22 of us, is a rather difficult situation.

Thanks everyone for following me around in circles.   icon_salut  All right who's next to lead? Daddog is going to be tied up as admin next month so he'll need help for sure.

I died. I was shot down by four P40's, as told by Teeerex icon_salut I got me plane shot up, bailed, but was too low to get my chute opened...
Some of them went down with me anyway I think Smiley

Sh't happens...

Cheers!

hmmm not that I'm big into my logs I see I did manage to get the bomber before bearkat took my wing off
Ghost I heard your check just as I started hearing the rounds but thanks anyway I rode it down for a bit, bailed, landed safely and walked to the runway before exiting.  Nothing anybody could have done about the
night in my opinion.  They had a good plan and we ran right into it.  As always good to fly with you gents.

Anyone start their film early and get Lambo's phone number?  I lost the silly thing and wanted to call him.
