I just finised reading Sodas writeups on the planes for FSO but I was wondering if any of our more advanced pilots in the squad would consider doing a quick and dirty writeup for the planes we'll be flying during each setup.  I went to the TA last night and took up a Zeke and quickly remembered why they're way down on my list for preferences.  I know they can be a deadly weapon but they just don't feel right to me ever.  Thats not to say that I'd ever skip an FSO because of platform.  But some additional information prior to Friday night is always welcome.

Actually its hard to top Soda's evaluations, plus it takes a serious chunk of time and research if your going to do it right. Frankly that's a project I'd never even considered, both because of scope, and time, energy required.

And because for the most part, its already been done.

Trainers site, and Soda's AC pages should be your bible, sleep with them under your pillow at night, keep them close, refer to them often and you won't go far wrong.

How do you know I don't sleep with that stuff? The dog is banned from the bed and it's a large unoccupied space these days Wink

In all honesty I dug around last night and found my binders where I have a boatload of information printed from various recommended sites including Sodas and Trainers page and did some reading up on level bombing while taking a B17 on a practice run.  I've got six varying from 3" to 5" chock full of info that comes in handy while in a practice flight.  This helps me a ton because I tend to learn a lot better from doing than just reading the process.  Helps it stick a lot better until it's instinctual.  I even found my old dot command page I'm happy to say.  .move## how did I EVER forget that one *smacks head*

Dicho,

If there's something you want to work on and I'm in the TA, just let me know.  I'd be happy to work with you with whatever airplane you want.  I'm not great at every plane but I'm pretty competent with most.
