Will there be a forseeable drop in AMD prices in the neaar future as they market there new chips?  I heard in about 4-6 weeks expect a nice drop in present AMD prices.  Any truth.

Looking to get a Athlon XP 2500 Barton.  Now $87 at Newegg.

Also which is better the TI4600 or Ti4800?   Im looking at a Winward Ti4800SE 128M video card.

Will PC-2100 RAM run OK on a Asus A7N8X Deluxe?

Thanks

the amd 32bit chips should be coming down relatively quickly. they want to push x86-64 as much as they can before intel comes out with their own consumer level 64bit chips. AMD will want to bring prices down on them as quickly as they can. I'm going to wait until after christmas (hopefully I'll have a job by then) to upgrade my game rig to a 64bit system.

Here is a link to a gainward 4800se and comparison to a radeon 9700.

Asus says the motherboard supports pc2100 ram. I'm not sure how much difference higher clocked memory makes, since I dont think I've ever seen any comparisons, or have been able to test it myself.
