Can you 'fraps' it and post some?  I would love to see it.  Quick question on cautions.  When the yellow comes out does AI take over like the Playstation games until going green or do you have to run double file without AI?

Yeah, I try it... I'll have to download fraps.

As for the yellows, you're incontrol of the car at all times, it is up to you get catch-up to the pace car and fellow the car in front of you... You're spotter will tell you where to go... The same thing with green flag starts... you're in control of the start.

Currently they have the old way of restarts with the lap cars down below (except on road courses they have single file restarts). They do have plans for double file restarts.

They do have double file restarts, with lap cars to the back.

Some of you might had heard iRacing had problems with the Daytona 500 race with 1,500 racers joining at once.. the system crash. I was able to get in the race just in time, but had to start from the pit lane which I thought was okay, because I knew a Caution would come out soon anyways.

After running around 8th for the first 20 laps, I got punted and dropped back to 25th just as the yellow came out… I had no damage, but designed to pit anyways to see if I could play with some pit stops to get me to the front, which seemed to be the safest place. After another caution 18-20 laps later, All the cars came in and I stayed out… It worked as I planned and lead the next 35 laps before I started to have throttle calibration problems (and no I wasn’t in a Toyota..hehehehe) I only could get to 95% throttle… well, I then got bumped coming out of turn two and was spinning in the infield section… I was able to save and not hit anything and lost the draft… It was only a matter of time that I would go down a lap which I did…. But the yellow came out and I got the go around… getting my lap back…

After that I got hit again later and hit the wall…. I was able to get it fixed… and with pit stop strategy and a yellow when I needed it… I was able to get another lap back.. After that since I only had 95% throttle I really could only draft.. I could back a pass… but with the draft I moved in behind the 6th place car and waited to the last lap to get a run on him and passed him just before the start finish line.

It was a lot of fun… Because of the problem they had with the server… All the drivers will receive $15.00 credit and they have another race next weekend as well. J. Baumer, Flasher… They are great fun… and I have a bad fast setup now… It is great… One of the Pro drivers gave it to me.

Daytona 500 #2 was this weekend... I didn't practice as much this week... mainly because of I ran 500 miles last week.
It was a longer race this time... My iRating had dropped and moved into a lower split.... My iRating is only 1253 uuggghhhh. anyways.... I finished 3rd.. despited being wrecked 3 times by other drivers. But, I had a great time. The only thing I don't like is the whining going on during the race... We never got that during the 2.4 Hour race.

But I had a great time  thumbsup
