well guys I sold the gold 73 and went for something new and more powerfull.  This car may finally be the one that kills me angel9.  Should be picking it up tomorrow.

Actually Mal, it's a 2000 FRC (fixed roof coupe).  It was the precurser to the Z06 which came out in 2001.  They only came with 6spd trans and heavy duty Z-51 suspension.  This car of course has everything done to it, Heads, cam, full offroad exhaust, and last but not least a intercooled supercharger evil.  It's like an F-16 for the street thumbsup  Any of you dogs that come out my way and we have a nice day I can take you for a ride, your choice of this one or the 69 vert.

Ah yes, that was the version aimed at racers to build into a race car, somewhat stripped down from the factory i believe.

Yes Mal, that was the idea with the FRC's.  They were originally designed to be far more stripped down then they ended up being.  But the bean counters still wanted them to have some of the more profitable options as standard like leather seats.  They were originally designed with cloth seats in mind (probably would wear better). So they only ended up being like 500 cheaper then a coupe, so it was primarily only the performance crowed that picked them up, with only 2090 being sold in 2000 out of 33,682 total vettes.
