Ventrilo Tech Question

Can someone tell me how to map a button on the joystick to use ventrilo? Had to put daddog on hold last night trying to evade red planes. I use a Saitek X52.

Click on the -> on bindings. That will bring up all your hot keys & bindings.

Bottom left corner, click add, that will bring up an edit function window.
Radio button should be set to PTT Advanced.

Now push the button on the stick you want to use. It should show up in the bottom window.
Click ok, now you can select what channel you want to talk on with that button.

Channel by name (blue flight) Channel and all subchannels (Aces High?) or Current Channel. (wingman?)
For example, if I wanted to talk to just my wingman, or those in my current channel. Then I'd select current channel, and click ok.

But if I wanted to talk to say Blue flight, ALL of blue flight. Then I would select channel and all sub channels.

Then in the channel names  .....
select Aces High/Blue flight, highlight it, click "Add" then ok.

If you selected Channel and all subchannels, then select Aces High. You would transmit to all flights, red, blue, all arena's etc.

Just a FYI, with a saitek 52, it is going to show 2 buttons at the same time.  1 of them being the mode switch ( you know the one, it changes from red to purple to blue when rotated)   so if you need that button to work in all modes, you will be programming 3 times.

Thanks everyone. Rayl helped figure it out also. I'm still not authorized to enter the Blue Flight channel. I tried today during the Busch League Race. Rayl also showed me how to turn the volume up for each person. I couldn't hear him very well for some reason so if anyone else has spoken to me and I haven't responded I probably have to adjust it for you also.

May have something to do with the name Flushed and a default for the ventrilo program to avoid blue rings.

Well I have to look again. I thought I figured it out for you and Hepcat Flushed so you could enter the flight channels.

I will look again. I thought 'squad guests' could enter those channels.  Not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe I will just wait till you guys are full members and not worry about it. All that would mean is 'guests' would have to be moved on certain nights by others to the Blue/Red/Green/Yellow flights.
