You know sometimes you work with people for a while and they dissapear and you never know if you did any real good or not. Today I got a PM from a guy that I did some hog work with that really made my day. This is a copy of the PM, with name removed.

Last time I was in the TA with you I used it (refering to the Merge tactics) within a couple days to start beating planes. Literally I got 2 kills the next day using some of the stuff you showed me. And I can't count how many I've gotten since then.
I was wondering if you would be in the TA again and if you could help me out some more? I want to learn tactics. I was recently in a fight with a spit, it was a good fight and afterwards I talked with the guy. He talked about how he was trying to win the fight, like by keeping me climbing and such. In short, this guy had a plan to deal with me. I want to start learning more of how to implement the stuff I've learned to take advantage of situations. I know that alot of this is experience and and learning the other planes... and I'm not asking you to teach me about every plane in AH and how to deal with it.
I want more general stuff, Like good ways to deal with better turning planes like the zero and the brewster. Thats actually the first thing I want to learn, cause I am no good at it. And ways to equalize an E situation. I've got lost of ACM all jumbled in my head, I want to learn some of the times to use it.
Can you help me with this?"
Of course I responded that I would help him further but it was nice to know that what I was teaching was working and appreciated
