Started with a usb thumb drive that wouldn't show up.

Then my 2 hard drives (Actually 1 250 gb drive partitioned) started showing an error when I double clicked on them.
Error is "Windows cannont find 'RECYCLER/S-1-5-38-100006695-100006002-10013844-1048.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."  I can still get in by right click and explore.

Then last night I was going to start backing up my system. (I'm about 6 months past my normal reformat, reinstall date)
And I noticed that my nero was not showing any dvd/cd drives. Only the image burner. Hardware says both drives are there and are fine. Yet both nero and imgburn show no functioning burners and there should be 2, 1 is a double layer.

Glary utilities comes up with nothing.

IMGBurn log showed me this much.
I 08:16:18 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
I 08:16:18 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2)
I 08:16:18 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,364 KB  -  Available: 1,572,932 KB
I 08:16:18 Initialising SPTI...
I 08:16:18 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...
E 08:16:21 CreateFile Failed! - Device: '\\.\CdRom0' (F:)
E 08:16:21 Reason: The maximum number of secrets that may be stored in a single system has been exceeded.
E 08:16:24 CreateFile Failed! - Device: '\\.\CdRom1' (D:)
E 08:16:24 Reason: The maximum number of secrets that may be stored in a single system has been exceeded.
W 08:16:24 Errors were encountered when trying to access 2 drives.
W 08:16:24 These drives will not be visible in the program.
W 08:16:24 No devices detected!

Anyone have any clues for getting my drives back online so I can backup this girl and wipe, and start over?

Ghosth do you have any idea what it's referring to as secrets? I was thinking you might need to remove some old backup images but I'm not sure what that the error is referring to.

According to the research I've done so far, it means any encrypted file. From as little as a password to full blown 128 bit encryption.

My problem is that I have yet to figure out how to search for them and find them.

Installed new copy of windows into second partition, installed bare bones network driver, dvd burner. Backed up some 7 gigs of assorted stuff onto a double layer dvd, moved a bunch of stuff via the network over to cindys computer.

Booted with my WD utility's, repartitioned the disk, 2 100 gig and 1 50 (linux play area)
Reinstalled OS with the new XP Pro Corp sp3 unattended cd. (which I love btw) it never even asked me for a cd key, much less calling home for activation.

Some 5 hours after start I am backed up, reinstalled, drivers installed, main software all installed, installing AH as I type this. Then I'll just have to move a few maps and gunsights over. Vent and skype both back up and running.

Running around on a freshly installed clean machine, priceless.
