Anyone?

Is it worth upgrading to a 64bit os? or still more problems than its worth?
Your opinion please.

Don't get Vista Ghosth, I my self can't wait for windows 7 so i can ditch Vista It's no where near as stable as XP. Vista just had a hissy fit on me today, It's the second time its done wierd things that have taken hours to fix.

Malap vista is the devil!  Morfiend may disagree with me, but pirates can't stand vista, and probably same for windows 7.

I did stick with a 32 bit install of XP Pro Corp sp3, which btw was VERY sweet and fast install.

Highly recomend this one guys. Download it with utorrent or fav bit torrent client. Burn the iso to a CD (nero or imgburn)

Then boot from the cd, all you have to do is wait for it to ask where to install it.
Once you tell it that walk away, do NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. Come back in an hour and it will be done.
Total true untended installation. Did not even ask for a CD-key much less activation.

This one rocks boys.

So far I've heard good rumors about windows 7, its not as much of a resource hog as Vista.

At what point does what used to be a 400lb obese woman stop being obese? 350? 300?

Its still a big pig until I see different. It still has all the DRM bs.

My system has 8 Gig of ram and i am running 2 gforce cards in sli, xp does not recognise that much ram, and will not run dx10, not sure if xp works with sli, that is why i got vista. I HATE Vista its no where near as stable or as fast as XP Ghosth, i much prefered XP, but as i said above LOL.

Ok first off, 64 bit XP will recognise up to 12gig of ram from what I've read.

Second, SLI is a hoax, a scam, a con game to get you to buy 2 video cards.
No one has yet to substatiate more than 10% - 15% gain by running 2 video cards.

Ohh and XP vs vista really doesn't matter in that department.

As to DX10, who cares, whats written for it?  ........................ very very little. Certainly not enough to make it worth my while switching.

Malap if I were you I'd back up, reinstall XP and then do a Dual boot for vista over the top.
Repartition your HD so you have at least 2 partitions and it should be no real sweat for you.

Main thing is load XP first, get it stable, drivers, software, working. Then do vista in your spare time.
I bet you could do it on a weekend if you took a week to prep for it. Drivers for both XP, vista etc.

Also if it was me I'd probably skip vista and grab a windows 7 beta. But good luck finding drivers.
