I learned a lot from the last Sunday wingman training practice. I want to do things a bit different.
I will divide us up into groups of 3 as before, but I want each group in their own Ventrilo channel so they can freely communicate with each other. Then I want just those three pilots to rotate in a 2 VS 1 engagements. One pilot is the bandit 3 times and the other 2 are the wingman. When your done all 3 squadies should have played the bandit once for a total of 9 flights for those 3 pilots. For example.
1st 3 roundsdaddog – bandit
Ghosth – Element lead
Baumer – Wingman
2nd 3 roundsGhosth – bandit
Baumer – Element lead
daddog – Wingman
3rd 3 roundsBaumer – Bandit
daddog – Element lead
Ghosth – Wingman
That way everyone gets to fly each position.
By having everyone on the same Ventrilo channel those that that need to work on communication skills can possibly hear others that do communicate well. I know ‘I’ need to communicate more with my wingman. So the wingman will use Ventrilo to communicate and the Bandit is to stay silent.
We will also do this in the Training Arena so we have more air time. How long each round lasts would really be up to the bandit. If he thinks he would have downed one of the wingman pair then they need to separate and start the next round. After each round I would like the 3 pilots to comment on the out come. What went right and what went wrong.
I want to continue working on the merge in the 2 VS 1 encounter with the wingman forcing a split and making the bandit choose. Below is a picture I cut from the Warbirds Online Academy Wingman Course by Dawger, (spelling). Trap78 sent me a copy a while back.

Simply engage the bandit and force him to come after one of you which exposes his rear quarter to one of the wingmen. After that work together to shoot him down.
