Problems with Skype

I tried playing AH and everytime i tried to open the game it instantly minimized, I tried rebooting but it still happened. I closed skype and i could open and play AH with no problems, i logged out of AH and reopened skype and the problem returned.

Anyone have any ideas as to the problem?

It is also responsible for crashing Fallout3 on loading as well.

I don't want to dump it, some of my friends in England have skype i just found out lol. So i would like to get it all working together.

Seems that Skype itself has been having issues also.

As to causing AH, or F3 to crash, that almost has to be a audio driver issue.
Right click on skype shortcut properties, compatability tab.  See what options you have and if any of them make a difference.

For now just don't try to run both at the same time.

Hi there!

I came across some strange problems today.
When I try to start the game Fallout 3 via the "Play" button in it's launcher it will start up, show me the beginning of it's intro and crashes to desktop after one to two seconds.
This only happens while Skype is running in the background.

I'm using Skype version 4.0.0.206 on Vista64 SP1 and the current Steam-version of Fallout 3.

This is more of a bugreport than a request for help, as I can't imagine the problem can be fixed besides having Skype closed while playing wink.png
