One fairly over the hill, fairly well trained  and house broken Mongrel is looking for a doghouse for 5 or 6 days in the Dallas area about
the same time as the AH Convention. Doesn't need much space, or looking after or fussing over.

Have set aside a few dog bones that would just about get me there and back.
But hotel bills run pretty  steep for this ol mutt.

Have sleeping bag, will travel.
Couch or comfy chair just fine, don't need nor expect luxury accommodations.

All of the above assuming we still have 2 cars running when con arrives.
And that I can putter my way down to Brother Baumer's neck of the woods and finish the trip with him.

Wanting to make plans early if I'm to have any chance of making it to AH con.

Ghosth you're more than welcome to stop at my place 1/2 down, and then we can ride together the rest of the way. I'm sure we can figure "something out" for the stay in Dallas!

I'm definitely bringing my simpit this year! I couldn't get enough tape to hold the stick down last time.   Cheesy

Midi we might have to do a bit of collaborating on the cooking. This being one ol dog who for sure knows his way around the kitchen.

Also hope to bring a box of various and assorted homebrews. So bring your hangover remedy's!  Smiley

Roger that brother Ghosth ... talked to Dicho for a little bit yesterday.
We are considering getting a half a calf from the slaughter house,
You can get a really good deal that way.

I'm for sure cooking a BIG pot of beans and rice....., I've also got a friend that is a shrimper
so might consider giving him a holler just not sure on all of it yet.

I don't see a post that it will be in October. Where did you guys see that?

I think 68Raptor was thinking about hosting everyone next go around. Just an FYI. Also Dicho's place was pretty cramped with so many of us there. I have no idea how large a place 68Raptor has, but if it is larger it might be more suitable with 15 or 20 guys.

Ok guys it is confirmed. 68Raptor is going to do a BBQ this year at his house. They have been talking to their squad about it. He lives pretty close. I do remember him saying he wanted to this year. He has invited all the 332nd that attend the Con. I would recommend you all go and enjoy the BBQ if you do go to the Con. Smiley

I don't know if I will be attending. Once again I think it will boil down to a new system or attending the Con.  icon_scratch

Sorry midi, did not mean to put bucket on your fire.  Undecided I just remember Raptor said he wanted to host it at his house next year and this thread reminded me of that. I also remember telling him I would go if he did.

No reason you can't do some cooking at Dicho's and we all can't get together there again. I guess we would have to do them on separate nights.

Well I think to BBQ's would take away from the con experence, and event's for it.

I had been in discussion with Nobaddy about the BBQ being a part of the con
and possiblly on the hotel grounds, due to the possabillity of drinking and driveing accuring.

I will postpone any further plans untill things are sorted out..
