Well the Mongrels rocked the house last night.

Unescorted, we sunk the enemy fleet, chewed up its cap, and came back to midway to chew up its attackers!

Baumer looks like you and me were on a roll last night in those big clumsy birds!

Great time!

Still kinda PO'd at that dweeb who suicide rammed me -- I hit the carrier, got saddled by a zeke right after and forced him to overshoot (landing some pings and getting assist). Then Baumer and I dive in on an egressing vulcher...after the first couple passes he latches on to me and I'm dragging him for Baumer. I try to stay inside him by slowing down, and Baumer calls me to break the other way. Before I can even level the wings the dude just plows his plane into me dead on, pinging away with those BBs. I go down with nothing more than a fuselage, and he gets the kill before Baumer finishes him.

Frustrating end to a great night.

Good times.
Once we got over the CV group with Zekes dropping in on us I told everyone (Blue and Red) just to dive down and hit their targets. I had no idea how large a CAP they had up their with us and I did not want to see Red Flight dogfight those Zekes at 20k. I also knew we had a third squad that was not on target yet and all the Zekes would follow us down. As it turned out our first two groups sunk the CV (I think BigRat got credit for that) and certainly damaged many other ships. I would guess the third squad who was just a few minutes behind us cleaned up over the enemy fleet.

On my dive down I marked a Cruiser since I figured most would drop on the CV. The CV was sunk within seconds after my drop which was good. I extended and help some guys with some zekes. ASA was in trouble and I was very pleased to see MajQBall and RAYL hot on the Zekes tail. Within moments the Zeke was in flames and going down. I am going to put them both in for a commendation. If anyone else saw some action deserving of a ribbon please fill out the forms in triplicate.

After some brief engagements we all rallied about a sector away and headed for Midway. Blutik joined me as a gunner. All was quiet on the way, but by the time we got to Midway it was under attack. The Zekes and Val's were out numbered because were were not the only SBD's returning to Midway. Managed to shoot down a couple and then land it. On final I saw about 8 Val's diving down!   I thought I was toast. I was vulched at landing (very thankful he did not drop his egg) and manged to exit successfully. Phew! From the tower Mikira was still in the air and giving the Vals grief! Amazing bit of flying from Mikira.   Also at some point RAYL lost a large part of his wing but despite the enemy attack on the field he managed to come in and land it!

I just want to say what a blast i had, even as a gunner  .

I think i managed to ping a couple of bogies, but no solid hits, I believe they are only .30 cal guns, wish they had been .50s or cannons 

The first one that came in i think got a suprise when i opened up on him as he just dived under us barely firing. Probably wasn't expecting the guns to be manned.

This one was more like one's I've been guilty of -- many, many times -- where I get so fixated on the kill that I just don't care what happens afterwards. He worked the attack really hard, I worked the evasions really hard, and he just got into the mode Hack9 calls "Hair on Fire and Ears Pinned Back."

My frustration is nothing more than all that adrenaline sitting in my stomach, plus my unfortunate tendency to be incredibly hard on myself when I fall short. Truth is my response says more about me than him - after all, he's probably a newer guy who's pumped about getting 3 kills in FSO, nothing wrong with that. Sorry I vented here, wasn't appropriate.

 Man I'm PO'd in a bad way,I was rammed headon by a DA3 that was smoking and no threat!
 I had chased a wounded con and was returning to land when I saw a low con smoking come from A1,I didnt see him as a threat and was continuing to base when all of a sudden he pulled up in front of me and flew straight at me.My bird was beatup and abit sluggish but I tried to sideslip and roll and he still managed to ram me.......

 Tragically crash.... Ya right..  this was another of the ZZZ nosquad clowns....   This needs to stop!!

 Last frame I collided with a zero,my fault,I even said sry to Sunsfan,as noone like to end that way,but this was intentional on the Val's part..

 Geeze,seems like I'm taking this to serious....

For what it is worth Morf I will not count your death in our squad stats. Anytime one of us is killed by a walkon (zzz nosquad) I don't count it.

I'm not worried about stats,it's the type of game play I'd expect in MA not FSO.
