Hey guys, So, I've been looking around on here and figured i would learn to use the forums a little better. I see its a very good way to communicate with everyone here. If you have any suggestions or comment feel free...or if you just want to say "Hello" Well not to get off subject. I wanted to know if anyone here play WoW, or WoWscape. If you dont konw what that is i am sorry to hear that. If can be a very interesting game, But i think most people know of it I know/think that Olds plays but need to double check. Thanks a mill.<S> DUGY

LOL Never heard of it Dugy. Certainly have heard of World of WarCraft. I think several in the squad play it. Do you use XFire Dugy? Great tool and several of us use it. Look for daddog332 and add me if you do have Xfire.

I've been thinking of trying out WoW for awhile now. My wife and I used to play Everquest a few years back. I've had a few friends get into WoW recently and I haven't seen them since. I think one of them actually drove his business into the ground and the other one's marriage is in trouble, so I've been a little hesitant to follow them over the cliff. Still, I think I've got enough discipline these days to limit my time online, so I'll probably give it a go.

We have had several squadies over the years struggle with gaming addictions. SunKing was telling me a while back how they would update World of WarCraft. Just make enough new toys to keep you interested in the next levels or abilities. Those that got to have it all are totally sucked in. Thankfully I am one of these guys who finds a game or two and sticks with them.

I have been playing WoW for about a year now. It replaced my Aces High addiction and I play it about as much as I did Aces High. I am 'skernsk' on Thunderhorn server....
I have enjoyed it and play with a couple of real life buddies. It has not affected work or marriage - I make sure of that.

Well I got WoW about a week ago and have been enjoying it. I don't think it will replace my AH playing but it may slow it down some. One advantage is that since my wife and I are both ex D&D nerds we both like WoW and can play the game together. The problem is my 9 year old is a budding fantasy novel geek, so she and my wife usually kick me off my computer so they can quest together Hopefully this will slow down now that the Thanksgiving school break is over. Anyway, I'm anticipating the complaints on Friday after dinner when I tell them they can't use my computer because I'm fling in the FSO.

...since my wife and I are both ex D&D nerds we both like WoW and can play the game together. I was a Ref for Travelers many years ago. Back out of high school I would get about 8-12 guys over to my house for Travelers on Saturday nights. I loved it and we had a blast. Over several years we created many towns, cities, worlds, and other life forms. We went way beyond what the initial Traveler books had to offer. I remember those days quite fondly. Never got into the D&D, but Travelers was sort of a SiFi version of it. If a couple of you play it, let me know I will be happy to put up a WOW channel on Ventrilo.

I would love a WoW channel dd. Argyll, myself and three other friends usually get together online and don't have a current voice chat program. It makes it much easier when we can talk.

Done Skernsk. You guys are welcome any time to play WOW and use our Ventrilo. Someone actually beat me to it and already put one up. If you and your friends need any help getting logged on let me know.

I will do the download tonight and try and get set up. If I have problems (and it is skernsk so I likely will) I will call you.
Thanks.

WoW private servers are acceptable, but the bugs are immense.
I was looking into hosting a private server on my box for awhile, I had it running - using the Mango's client. After reading on the common databases for the game, no team has yet to fix all the bugs, it is mostly manual editing.
Though nothing beats live.
