Anybody plans to try it?

I'll download the demo tonight through Steam and if it runs decently on my 4 years old computer, I'll pre-buy it.

I've only heard good things about it so far...

Run a new game on a system that is 4 years old? Would be amazed. Unless your system was state of the art 4 years ago. Hummm  think it was if I recall DeS.

Hello Daddog, how are you doing? 

Woohoo it runs! The game runs on the Source engine and by tuning down some details and light effects, it is still has enough eye-candy for me.

The gameplay is excellent, on the realistic side but without a hard learning curve.

The atmosphere is as creepy as it should be and the coop aspect is very well done: you really have to work as a team and take care of your mates (protect them and heal them... sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself) if you want to 'win'. I also like that the game are relatively short (1 hour) as the RL is getting a bit hectic those days. This is a game I can enjoy from time to time to let go some of the pressure without having to invest too much time in it. And if I'm in a really bad mood, I can play on the side of the infected and make someone's life miserable from the other end of the world 

I'll buy it as soon as it hits the shelves in Europe (Nov 21st I believe).

Caution: lots of gore and profanities for young players. OTOH you only shoot at brain dead people infected with an uber version of rabies...

If others decide to play it too, maybe we'll be able to share some games thru the Steam lobby.

PS my computer wasn't state-of-the art 4 years ago but it was still in the high end. I'm lucky that the game runs on the somewhat old source engine. All the new stuff is out of my reach now...

Doing good DeS!

At work today, but no students. Just parent teacher conferences. Thankfully I have a good rep and most of the parents love what I do with the kids and how I run my classroom.
