Well I am having some serious problems today. I has been locking up the past couple weeks every once and a while. Today when I came home It is not on much more than 5 minutes and it locks up. I am typing this on sondog's system just in case.

I will give a good look over tomorrow (Veterans day off) but not sure what the problem could be. I have noticed that when it locks up I hear a very slight 'click' in the box.  sad Power supply is relatively new so I hope that is not the problem. Everything else is about 4 years old. Hope it is not the HD. Started backing stuff up when I came home, but have not got it all over yet. Was going to fly tonight, but no joy.

A small click sound like a bad spot in the HD to me DD at least that has been the intial sign before I had a compleate meltdown violent5
it would get the little click then lock up untill eventually it just wouldn't start up at all.

I suggest getting that back up of your important can't live with out stuff done ASAP.
Then start shopping for an HD, or system with ever route you take..

Been copying/saving stuff all this morning. Gave up last night as it locked up about 6 times in about an hour.   BangHead

This morning I woke up crossing my fingers and had a thought. I unplugged a heater I started using downstairs a couple weeks ago. As it has been getting colder I started using this heater since the kerosene is just too expensive. I was thinking, maybe, just maybe the heater when it turns on and off causes too much of a drain. It is on the same row of plugs as Jed's and Sarah's computers. Anyway short of the long is I have not had it lock up one this morning with the heater unplugged. I think I have everything saved now. Phew!

Crossing my fingers that was/is the problem.

Time to find another outlet not on the same circuit. Smiley
