Hello,

I just upgraded my gaming pc so I have a few items to sell.

I'm offering my older motherboard , cpu w/ aftermarket heatsink(overclocking heatsink), and RAM to any Mongrel interested in building a over-clockable system capable of playing AH2 at highest settings with no system lag or stuttering.

Everything works great and I actually never got around to overclocking it. I had bought them with intending to OC but never had to cause every game played fine.

Here is what I'm selling.

CPU
Motherboard
2/ gigs RAM

CPU -  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103608

RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227210

Mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136152

As you can see, all these are ideal for gaming overclockers. Combine these with a current Nvida card ( 8800gts 640mb is what I used ) and you'll be set playing AH2.

I'd like to see these go to a Mongrel who really needs to upgrade their main gaming pc.

I'm offering $150.00 for everything. (Ebay these and you'll see I'm giving them away half off or less than there current worth).

Msg me if interested and I'll send em off ASAP.

Hey SunKing

Sondog might be interested in this. He just left and is staying the night at a friends house. I will ask him about it when I see him tomorrow. He has been saving for a new system an this would certainly be a step from from what he has. I think he has about $200 saved up. I will have to ask him to be sure. My only question is does it support an older AGP Vid card or would he need to get a newer PCI card? He has a GeoForce 6600GT, but it is AGP.

Unless I am mistaken after looking at the specs it would not support AGP.

What is a good PCI card that would go with this board? I don't know anything about PCI Vid Cards. Heck I don't even know what slot it goes in on this MB.

I see the slots for RAM
Then I see 6 other yellow slots. Two on the left are regular PCI slots I would guess. Then there are 2 long yellow slots, 1 small, and 1 really small. What slot does the PCI card go in?

What is the smallest slot for? And the other small/short slot?

The 2 long yellow ones, you'd only use both if you were doing SLI aka Crossfire.

As to what card, start at toms hardware, and work up from there.

AH does NOT need a super card with 512mb of ram to run at 50 fps smoothly.

A good solid cpu, with 2 gig's of ram, and a moderate 256mb gaming card should do nicely.
Shouldn't have to spend more than 75- 100$ for a good pci-e video card.

So what slot does it go in?
One of the long ones? The smallest?

OK learning as I go here.
I see I would use one of the long ones for any standard PCI Vid card and the 2nd one if I wanted to do the SLI thing.

Still what are the two smaller ports for?
