A funny thing about this game, you think you got a handle on just about everything on it and then reality hits you square in the face and you realize you were missing something important.  Over the last couple of months I've noticed the very good sticks are able to do things with a F4u-1 that I couldn't copy.  This didn't make sence to me.  I fly this stupid plane just about every day for the last year and a half, what am I not figuring out BangHead.  Last night I was sparring with Banshee7, 16 yrs old but an excellent stick, and we were sparring at flat scissors with F4u-1's, and he kept getting inside of my turns, no matter how hard I pushed the plane.  the only way I was getting shots is if I took my turn a little more verticle then he did.  I asked him if he thought the stall limiter being on could be causing my lack of turn ability.  I got the impression from everyone's response that it was like me flying with a hand tied behind my back.  So now I'm trying to learn to fly with the limiter off, which makes it a different bird at the type of flying I normally do.  The funny part is that I didn't know there was a problem laughing1.  Anyway I'm going to be spending a lot of the time in the TA the next couple of weeks redoing my flying style or touch, however you want to word it.  So any of you good in the big blue birds F4U's or F6F's that want to spar with me, that would be great help thumbsup, I'm normally in the TA between 8:30 and 9:30 CST.

Bigrat I had no clue you were still running with the stall limiter on.

Yes you'll be relearning a few things, but its going to open a lot of doors also.

 Shocked
Holy cow. Had I known you had been flying with the Stall limiter on I would have suggested to you to end that a long time ago.

Like Ghosth said, you will have to relearn some things, but it will really give you an edge you have not had before.  thumbsup

Bigrat, I was impressed with how fast you could reverse that F4U before.  I can only imagine how good you're going to be without the stall limiter ... terror in the skies!!

Well guys I'm making progress.  I thought I was doing real good until I started sparring with Widewing in a 109 F4 and had to really work and I over horsed the aircraft a few times and augered it a few times. Of course Widewing can smoke me on my best days in most planes.  Earthdog, that's my hope, but first I got to get out of my heavy handed tendencies that I picked up over the last few years.  Just need to get this worked out and my confidence back and I'll hopefully be good to go.
