I have been workin on high deflection shots offline. The other day i thought i would use the lead computing gunsight to help me learn these shots but it didnt work.  I enabled the sight but all it did was put a box around the target.  Why wont the sight work?

Olds, if your practicing off-line you need to be a Knight (shooting at green guys) and it has to be set in the arena options. It's under flightmode in the arena settings (i think).

I was wondering if this was possible  icon_scratch. Shooting seems to be my weakest point right now. Especially under nose lead shots   help .Now I can work on it offline even more.

The Lead Computing Gun Site is enabled. This will display where you need to aim your gun site in order to hit the selected target plane. To select an enemy target plane, simply look at the target plane and press the tab key. A box will appear around the selected plane, along with the green + to show the correct lead. If there are multiple targets in view, and the wrong target was selected initially, simply continue to press the tab key to cycle through all the targets within view. To select a friendly (green icon) plane as the target, first you must enable "friendly lock" by pressing Ctl-tab, then follow the same steps as for selecting an enemy target.

But when i target a con it puts a box around the target but no green x for the lead.  It works in the TA but not offline.

Olds,

I tried it offline, and as Baumer said you must change countries, to Knights. Then go to arena settings, highlight flight mode and click on it. This brings up a box on the left and you check "enable friendly lock" I believe is how it is worded. Then click save on the bottom of the right hand side box and you are set.

You will be shooting at Hitec, Waffle, Rosie, Skuzzy, ect. Give it a try, it works. If you have problems I'll try and log around 6 p.m. central and be on ventrillo to talk ya through it if ya need.
