Yes, I'm cursed with Vista. Before I start investing $ I would like to know if this is compatible with my curse (Vista) Sad  BangHead

When Vista came out BF2 was not compatible with VISTA. I would not run. So to save money I wanted to know if the patches took care of it prior to purchasing the software. Cause if it don't work I'd have a new coaster vice a game CD.

Oh man. I did not know that.
Can you check the forums and see if anyone can run BF2 on Vista? Bound to be information about that on the BF2 forums.

I'm running it with Vista.  I had a few problems with Punkbuster but I'm not sure they were related.  Now the only problems I have are that I can't use X to zoom when I'm in a tank, and my in game VOX doesn't work.  Since everyone is on Teamspeak that's not too much of an issue.  The Vox problem might not be related to Vista either.

why wouldn't X work for zoom.  That doesn't seem to be an o/s issue.  Just chalk it up to things that make me go huh or hmmm.

Twolf I've been brousing thru the PR forums and there seems to be quite a lot of people that
run BF2 PR under Vista.
Perhaps you could post a few specs about your system and operating system and I can compare them
to some over there and see.....

In Vista you can run the program in Windows XP Mode. Just right click the icon and select operating mode as Windows XP.

My system is comparable and I have no problems with BF2/PR, but I also run XP.  Your system has plenty of power/resources to run BF2.  I'd say pick up the $10 copy and if it doesn't work I'll refund your money.
