Were you able to fix your problem with punk buster?

Installed B2, installed 1.41 patch, installed PR mod core files and levels.
Found 332nd server, have it in favorites. But can't join it, says it has a different version.

I don't think the 1.41 patch did something right.

Fix other than comeplete uninstall and try over again?
And yes I did install the patch before the PR mod.

No, I still haven't gotten Punkbuster to work properly.  Right now PunkbstrB won't run on my computer even though I've re-installed it several times.  Even when it was running I would get a hanshake failure.  All the forums state that this is probably a firewall issue, but my firewall gives both PunkbstrA and B full access.  Also it doesn't work even with my firewall turned off.  I have also played with my router settings to allow access on the port which punkbuster uses.   None of this has helped.  The only thing I can think to do is reinstall BF2 and the patch and PR from scratch and see if this helps.

Earth as bad as I hate to say it, that would probablly be the best rout to take.
A couple of other Mongrels had issues and started from scratch with new install
and got the problems cleared up.

I would suggest uninstalling BF2 and then PR both from the control panel with the
"Add/Remove Programs"

BF2 first then PR.

Brother Ghosth  call me on my cell when you get a chance we'll see if we can get it going.

And I know how you disslike Teamspeak with AH2, but with BF2 it's not a problem
if you decide to get on TS and we can walk thru it there...

Well, a full re-install of everything seems to have fixed my Punkbuster problem.  It's still a little finicky, sometimes taking a few restarts to get it to work.  Now if I can fix my ingame comms problem and my inability to zoom I'd be all set.

Well after reinstalling leaving everything default, rerunning the 1.41 patch, then running the punkbuster setup I still have the following problems.

A game will NOT load, (insert game install disk 2 into drive and retry)
Game disk 2 is IN the bloody drive idiot!

(Cheated, got a No-dvd hacked bf2.exe and core.dll from gameburn world. At last I can start the game. btw this has happened both times I've installed) BTW I have the original files, just renamed them in case I needed to restore them.

Ran patch 1.41 (which took bloody forever) yet when I start game it says version is 1.1.2968
WTF?

Until I can get these 2 problems sorted there is no point in doing the PR stuff.

I had the same issue with inserting the game disc ... I even went and checked forums etc..  It turned out to be something very silly.  I was misreading the disc requestor and confusing the "2" of battlefield 2 with the disc number.  You actually need to put in the "installer disc", disc 1.

I'd give PR a shot and see if it works for you.  My BF2 with the patch still says its version 1.1.2965 in the upper righthand corner and it works for me.  Could be the patch doesn't update this message for some reason.
