Had a little phone chat with daddog today and he brought up backups.

Something not many people know about is that Windows XP has it's own backup utility built in.  You can find it either by going to Start > Accessories > System Tools > Backup or by typing in ntbackup at a command prompt.

It's rather basic, and I can't remember if you can automate backups with it as far as scheduling, but if you've got a USB drive or even a spare internal, you can backup your stuff without too much fuss.

I tried it today. No joy.
Had it set to back up at 9:45 AM and it did nothing. Have gone over the schedule twice and can't figure out what is wrong.

Is there any free back up software someone can recommend since XP did not do it for me?
