I have a geforce 4200 and have trouble clearly reading the clipboard text.  What can I play around with to clean up the text?

You need to turn off anistropic filtering on your card. The way text is rendered in ah means that Ani. filtering will blur it.

You can find the setting for it in the advanced bit of video settings.
