Savage 2: very nice online RTS+FPS game...and it's free!

Yes, it's completely free... It's also relatively old but graphics don't look too bad. It also runs on older puters... and they have a linux version.

I had a couple of very fun games yesterday as a grunt... I don't know enough of the game mechanics to apply as a commander yet.

The game is nice but I don't play much those days and I've never dared to apply for a commander slot yet (sissy!)

I'm "enjoying" the last week of my holidays here (my better half has given me an arm-long list of work to do in the house and of course I've waited until the last limit to begin).


Despite a very rainy month of July, I've been able to skydive a bit. I'm now approaching my 200th jump. I've signed for a wingsuit class and I'm getting the hang of jumping a beginner suit (Matter Tracer). My best jump was exiting the plane ~4km away from the airfield and being able to fly back to it before opening my canopy at 1300m (it is recommended to open higher than the usual 900m while wearing a wingsuit because the arm wings restrict the arms movement).
Another 10 jumps with this suit and I should be able to fly a big boy suit (Matter MTR3). This stuff is a lot of fun. I was flying above a cloud last sunday and I could see my shadow racing on the cloud upper layer, it was magic.

I'll probably come back to ah2 this fall. Lucas is now 5.5 years old and has a growing interest for military planes, boats and tanks. I see that as a perfect excuse for a new subscription
