New game released by Matrix games, I guess it was done by a russian developer. Its essentially a remake of the original XCom game.

I've played it a bit, and sure enough, its a lot like the original. I hope they added some new weapons and such, but so far they all seem to be similar to the original weapons. The aliens are a bit different.

Went to the first shoot down site, and cleaned up pretty easily. A week later I had another shoot down, but was ambushed by 3 aliens when my guys disembarked. Only lasted 3 turns.

I just noticed the other day that there have been 3 new xcom type games come out in the past few years. I'm going to take a look at them too. Always had fun with these.

I never played that one.  Three turns? Is this a turn based game?

UFO is a classic. The battles are turn based, on an isometric view.

There are 2 main parts, a strategic part, where you build up your bases and try to keep aliens from landing and setting up bases. You can research captured alien techs and produce new weapons and such.

The 2nd part is where you send your troops to a crash site, or some other event and fight the aliens.

This new game seems to have a much bigger tech tree. Quite a bit more weapons to find and produce.
