Banner of a day Sunday.
Logged on Sunday afternoon and found Simaril in Orange. I had a wild hair and suggested we try to capture a field base that looked relatively quiet. 20 minutes later with me in a C47 and Simaril in a N1K2 (he took out the ack) we captured it! LOL Just the two of us and the hangers were up!

After that I did some GVing. I took an Ostwind and shot down 3 or 4 AC. One fellow kept trying to get me by dive bombing, but I made some lucky shots and nailed him twice. He then gave up and killed me in a tank.

Then I flew my P-38 and bagged 4 but was low on ammo. Headed home with a Yak after me. I can take a Yak in my 38, but I did not want to press my luck. A Me-262 forced me to turn a few miles out from my base so I took it to the Yak. He and I dueled and I had him twice, but each time the 262 would force me to break off when I had him in my sites. The Yak finally got me. It was “shooter” who has had an attitude with me before. Gerrrrr. After that I upped in a P-51. Simaril was buzzing about in a Me-262 by then. He forced a P-51 to break and we shot him down after that. Was rather satisfying because it was “shooter” who shot me down 20 minutes before.

He of course was laughing because it took me so long to shoot him down. I quickly agreed because of my poor gunnery, but pointed out he was dead and I flew home.

No reply.

Later after dinner I logged on and jumped up in a Me-262. Found a large group of B-26’s and Lancasters. I bagged 3 and hand to run home due to a fuel leak, but not before I forced many enemy fighters to break who were running away and then they were killed by those giving chase.
As soon as I landed the 262 I saw another large group headed for our fleet so I took off in a LA7 (I fly those about twice a year). I came across about 15 TBM’s without an escort. FIELD DAY!!! I bagged 5 and had to RTB because a P-47 came in and forced me away. LOL I have it on film and plan to put it in the year end DVD. Just need to figure out what music to put to it. lol At one point all the TBM’s turned on me. It was wild. .50’s filled the sky. They wanted me BAD! I ran away with about 7 of em 400 to 1000 my 6. Sure put a grin on my face.

I landed it a short time later.
