"Upping a spit for 67"

The other day, Sim, Maddog and I were messing around near a vbase called 67, I typed the above by mistake into 200, anyway, not long after, some guy pops on the private channel and tells me that I could be considered cheating and that he will be waching me from now on. "Spies are everywhere and it's strange that the cons were there" etc.
It was a guy with a set of numbers for a handle or something like that, Should I  lay low until he forgets about me? I wasn't cheating or spying, I  thought I pressed the alt key with the slash key for the squad channel and made a genuine mistake, what happens if he tells HT ? I didn't mean to do it and now this guy is going to be watching me to see if I'm spying and stuff.
Probably better to lay low till all this blows over I think, I aplogized to him and said I wasn't cheating or spying so hope he belives me! Hopefully he doesn't go saying stuff about the 332nd due to my mistake.

Hawko, dont' sweat it.  That is not cheating, that is a mistake, and one that we have all made.  If this fool wants to watch yer every move that's his problem. You pay your 15 bucks, don't someone keep you from playing.

Ignore him and anyone else that tells you that. Don't worry about our squad reputation and don't even think about laying low. Play as you always do and have fun. Anyone bothers you let us know. HTC would laugh it off. Frankly the fact that you are a member of this squad holds a lot of weight. I will call hitech or pyro and back up every member we have.

All this talk of spys and cheating and stuff.... heck people take this too serious! You called out you were upping a plane to get to another base? How in the world is that supposed to be "cheating". Ok, I can understand that some people like to get into the "war" idea of the game and take strategy very serious. I respect that. But that doesn NOT mean that everyone else has to.... and im not implying anything here, as for your ideas on the game. You didnt even do that on purpose anyway.

Heck, if what you did was cheating, what would *I* be? I call out my position on 200 often, trying to get a fight simply. If anyone would "have to be watched" then me I guess .


Have fun, play the game and if this guy gives you any more grief, let Skuzzy know - hell take care of it.

Hey everyone ! Thanks for the replies, I feel better about it all now, I just didn't know what to do, I thought this guy with all the numbers was one of the  "Heavyweights" or something, I was on yesterday in buffs bombing a city and he popped up again, it was 996 and a list of more numbers or 669 and more numbers, Should have written the dammed thing down, Was just telling me him and a few others are looking for spys etc and that if missions get blown they know were to look.
Anyway, told him to look elsewhere as I'm not a spy/cheat, Just someone having some fun. Said he was going to check my kills for "shades" whoever shades is, I don't know, But I've never heard of the guy.

A shade is someone's 2nd account. Say I had a 2nd system hooked up and my call sign was 123456 and I went bishop. I could watch what goes on with that account and do what I see fit in my daddog account. Those are called shade accounts. What is funny is if someone has a shade account it is perfectly fine with HTC. They don't care. Members of the community might not like it, but it is not their business. It is laughable this idiot would be "hunting" for shades. He can do absolutely nothing about it.

reminds me of a conversation kieren and i had along time ago when people where first really throwing their fits over country jumpers back in WB.
he couldn't understand how people could get so upset over a game. but when he finally understood that some of these people have no life other then this game it kind of makes it understandable. sad truly sad but understandable in a way. they got nothing else to worry about so they think this is life. or at least a way to get out of their humdrum life's. we called them power gamers in EQ when i was in their. truth is they just don't have anything to do but worry about others in a game. tis truly sad.
