Just arrived home from 3 days in Sacramento. Was a good time with Gloria’s side of the family. Late Sunday morning (today) sondog and I took off to Fry’s Electronics and perused the store for something to buy, but nothing really caught our attention. I called SunKing and Hawco for a 2nd time and we all agreed to meet at a near by restaurant on Northgate boulevard. Sondog and I showed up first and we did not have a long wait for SunKing. Was great to see him again. For some of you relatively new members SunKing and I drove to an Aces High con about 4 years ago. Thirty-six hours each way. LOL we did get to know each other. Smiley I have only seen him once or twice since then. We did some quick catching up and started gabbing about Aces High, the Squad, the problem Canadians and how to get rid of them. Sondog hardly said a word, just taking it all in. After about 30 minutes or so Hawco showed up. The only problem was it was time for Sondog and I to head back and check out. We only had about 10 minutes or so with Hawco, but it was a pleasure to place a face with a name. Delightful fellow I am sure you all would enjoy. Even you maddog. Wink

SunKing, Hawco, wish we had more time. I felt rushed but at least we had a few minutes. I made it back to the hotel “just in time”. They were loading up the cart to move the stuff out of our room. Phew!

Hope to catch some of you guys online this week!

Yes it was a good time.
It always neat to meet friends from the net. Such a vast online world yet we live so close in reality.
Maybe if things change with AH2 I might tag along to the con.
Todays meeting brought back some memories of the goodtimes, roadtrip and all.

Cool.

The 'problem' Canadians did some catching up today as well.  Cup's parents live an hour north of me and he brought me a Large Tim Hortons coffee and we chatted for about an hour.  That was a great, I too wish we had more time.

BTW, you can only get rid of us by sending CASH.  Lots and lots of CASH.  Oh, it might help if it was delivered in Santa's ... err ... Maddogs vette!

LOL

Dicho no news on next years con, but they always hold it in Dallas Fort Worth Texas. Smiley Usually they post information about the con about 2 months prior to its date. Expect some news about it come May or June.

excellent.. I'm going to try to see if the other parents (except squids mom) will be willing to take the kids that weekend.  Depending on how things go I'm going to try to have 2 to three rooms to spare for fellow squaddies.   Plus there's always the couch in the living room and sondog could bunk with squid for a couple of nights.  If they don't freak and hold it elsewhere Smiley

I heard there are going to be 3 cons next year. You can sign up to attend  anyone one you want. If attendance fills up before you arrive regardless if you've paid in full, you will be assigned to another city without notice.

That one did not count in my book. Wink I think hitech was the only one from HTC that attended unless I am wrong.

I am sure Jordi worked hard to host it, but that was one year where I could have gone but didn't.  I didn't feel it would have been worth the trip.
