Well I am here at the Hyatt Hotel down town Sacramento using my new Fujitsu T4210 school note book. It is wireless in the room and it is the first time I have used wireless. Pretty cool!

You guys should all be flying and having a good time. Smiley

Will call SunKing and Hawco tomorrow. Smiley Hope to hook up with them.

for me it was frustrating ... no complaints towards the squad but I took it upon myself to get online early and go cv hunting.. found one too after an hour of flying over pretty much most of the ocean and asking on country channel if anybody had seen an enemy CV anywhere (insert all of the stupid childish remarks that you can think of here and you'll get an idea of what kind of feedback I got).  Took a check ride with Sim which is always fun and instructive (shoosh Sim so what we didn't make it back alive), then went and checked on the CV again.  Would have taken some tricky flying to make the mission work but it could have come off with some luck and all of the sudden we can't get everybody into LW blue.  So we decide to go to mid purple and take on a CV from a CV.. next problem.. some dude comes in and takes control of the CV an heads it into a PT spawn... fortunately that didn't adversly affect the mission.  Upped in an F6 and dive bombed a cruiser.. got 10 guns but apparantly I missed Dorey Miller because I died a glorious death.  Upped an F4 with a bomb (can't remember which) and tried for another cruiser... dive bombing is not my thing apparantly as I was rewarded with a view from the tower.  Head to the fridge for a beer and the squid decided he wanted to talk to me about something.  So I logged off and called it a night.

Midi.. you had a great plan and I was all for it... it was really aggrivating that we have to change plans at the last minute due to arena restrictions.  Squad nights are the really fun times for me and it seems that the arena restrictions keep screwing them up.  All of the sudden you can't take the plane up you've practiced in for the last week? Not an insurmountable task I'm sure but just a bit beyond my abilities at this time.

I'm not really ready to go back to FSO's until they straighten that mess out but I really enjoyed taking off with a group in a plane I was familiar with (relatively speaking) and having an idea of what my mission was and my role in it.

Perhaps suggest to Hitech that a squad that files a 'flight plan' and it's approved by them are allowed to fly their mission as planned in whatever arena and aircraft they choose?  I don't know if it can be done or if it's possible but that just came to me while I was typing this.

While I'm at it.. thanks Sim... you know what for and you were pretty much dead on.

Dicho I do appoligize things didn't go well for you and was upset myself about the last minute areana change, but had no choice
in that part we would not have gotten everybody in the same arena had we not switched, unfortunantly that bumped up the dreaded
ENY crap which made us have to change plans again.

On a positive note  the entire CV group went down, thatns to several of you that dropped some ords and took out a lot of the ack.
My torps did not land on target did get a few rockets in to a cruiser tho, Heavyh got a destroyer and Skernsk got a cv kill after it respawned from the port.

I did notice that the multiple flight alts does help with the ack I got very close to the CV on my first run while the ack was trained
on the rest of the planes.

I thought every body did a great job dispite the setbacks.

Here is the list I have that where there post if I missed ya.

it's all good midi.. my frustration is not in any way directed at you or the squad.  It's more along the lines of I (or we) want to do things a certain way... make a plan and see how it works but the way the game is now precludes that or gives us an insurmountable task.  I'm not against adjusting on the fly and, quite frankly, I think you did a great job tonight of reorganizing things when plans had to be changed at the last minute.

Midi did a fine job of organizing the herd.  We had a good turnout although we did have a few late comers join mid attack.  I logged into the mid war arena because Sim had no vox in Orange.  I thought it would allow us to do a similar mission to midi's plans.  I upped from C51 to start scouting for the enemy fleet.  I was kind of concerned that it would take a long time to find one, but in about 2 minutes I saw one.  It was about 20 miles from our own fleet.

Due to the close proximity and the fact that another player took ownership of the fleet we had to get cracking on the attack.  We had a good high/low attack going and little resisitance.  The ack got a few of us.  My Torp missed but I landed my rockets on the flattop.  By the time I re-upped the CV was going down.  No idea who got it, but many dogs softened the ship.

We moved on and flattened a nearby airfield.  While that was going on midi and I moved out and started looking for the reincarnated fleet we sunk.  I eventually found in and moved in with another TBM.  Got real close but misjudged the angles and my fish ran behind the CV by about 100 yards.  Fired rockets and died.  Then I grabbed a Hellcat and some 1000 lbers.

I arrived over a burning, smoking CV and watched Optiker go in low and crazy-like.  While he was drawing the ack I was able to perform a real good dive on the CV.  I think it was so soft that I could have straffed it and sunk it.

I do have to insert my two cents as to the arenas.  IF Sim had vox in orange we would have had no issues getting into a late war arena and do our thing.  Mid war had good numbers when I logged in but eventually it unbalanced and we had ENY issues once again.  I thought they did away with that but apparently not.

Ren had a good comment on how little we as players have contol over what we fly.  And that bites.  Put me down as a happy squadmate but an unhappy subscriber.  Time is ticking and my patience is running out.

Does anyone else hate P-38's like I do?  If I see one, I will bypass a formation of enemy C-47's and go for it.  Spit 16's are a close second.
