Wondering if we've picked an arena yet.

For what its worth, it seems that my I am deaf in the Orange and the Training arenas. Skuzzy's still stumped, though we have a couple ideas that we're working on.

Also...what about announcing a Mongrel buff mission with escorts? Who cares what we hit, it would be fun to see who upped and how it went!

Another thing we did sometimes on the 4th Fighter Group...we'd up ponies and look for missions/ captures/ DAR bars to spoil. They'd have given up some alt to hit the bases, and when we came in with 6-12 fighters we could pick off the attackers at will. End of enemiy mission.... evil

probably old news but

a p51 D with drop tanks and 100% gets to 30 k in 18 minutes.  Afterwards it's about 5 minutes a sector with 190 ind and 312 true and that thing can fly forever

a b17 with 100% load and 24 bombs takes 38 minutes to get to 30 k and takes about 6:18 per sector.

a little food for thought for you mission planning types Smiley

whats the map tmorrow night?  evil

an idea here..

if you get shot down in lw blue.. if that's where we go  .. wait till we can all gather and up together.. make a couple of missions as the opportunities present themselves.  You can always join someone until everybody is ready to up again Cheesy

dicho 51 is worthless above 25k if you want to go to 30k use the 47n it's a monster up there will almost catch a 262 at that alt.

EDIT: almost forgot 50% fuel and center DT on 47n is about 40 minutes flight time better to add outer DT's if you think you will need more as the 47n doesn't fight real well with fuel in aux tank unless you want to start far enough back from fight to burn aux and wing tanks before you have to engage.

47 then... either way... we could go at 20k
