Very awesome, first your brother, now your son. We're going to need a Simaril Wing.
I'm intrigued by the vox problem. How far have you and Skuzzy gotten?

Although he'd hoped it would go differently, it seems my brother (hack9) has gotten overwhelmed with the life ack again. He's single, and keeping everything going is MUCH harder for him than for guys like me (who can lean on the better half for so much!). Also, his job involves a LOT of travel and after hours work crunching data. And, after being away so long, I think he feels nervous about stinkin up the joint when he flies...
Dan's another story. He's liked the pure adrenaline of shooters, and if anything thinks AH "is too slow -- it takes too long." For the last year he's been building a "clan' or squad that fits with his values...something he's very deliberate about. He's brought together guys who want to play, have fun, build friendships, and not have to deal with the language/attitudes that fill so much of the online gaming world. Along the way he's really enjoyed getting his own server with administrator controls.
(His favorite feature: if someone continues to be a jerk, he can run a script that puts different phrases in every time the offender uses the chat box. SO, instaed of cussing or ranting, when he hits enter everyone sees him say "I love to walk in the flowers" or "I collect Barbies."
) He's also built a website, and he's gearing up for entering teams into a competitive league...all for the fun and realtionships, not for the leetness. When guys in the squad have a hard time, he just follows up, asks how things are going, etc. For example, Dan was keeping up with one new guy in Germany (dad on overseas rotation) who felt alone amd hopeless, asked Dan "Why do you care so much?"

OK, so I'm proud of him....I'm a dad, what can I say.
Anyway he played AH last night and had a blast. He wont be on every night, but I hope you'll see him around.

Worked with Skuzzy off and on about the vox problem...and the arena splits actually helped by showing that it wasnt in the TA only, Until the split that was the only place it ever happened, ever....but now can variuably happen in any arena. That showed it wasnt a TA problem; and when Dan had the same problem on his FE in the same Orange Arena iI did last night it helped even more. Eveidence now points to the router blocking some ports, but I havent had a chance to check things out yet. Hope to today.
