Hey Sarge. Red Orchestra is like AA , you have to connect to a server and play. Please don't compre the game to AA.
This game is what we all wished WW2OL would've looked and played like.
There are two really good server I play on. One runs infantry maps and the other is a tanks/infantry combo server. Both are always full servers and mature team players. The game has built in voice coms like Aces High. All the serious players use it to cordinate attacks. Brings back good memories of Friday squad ops.
The maps are huge, it has the same feel as WW2OL. You have objectives you need to hold or take to win the map.
Each map battle is timed. Each side has a set amount of allotted troops to use. Games are won by taking the obejectives, or one side runs out of reinforcments and the team with more points(due to objectives) gets the win.
The maps are beautiful. I swear, you will be blown away over how awesome these maps look, even for an older game engine. The illusion of a war torn Eastern Front comes across better than any game I've ever played, and I've played a ton.
The game developers are true to the community. They release content updates every other month and constantly fix bugs. Also the community can make maps and there are some beauties out there. There is also a rule that all maps must be realistic and mapped after real battles or locations from the Eastern Front. Everything from Berlin to Stalingrad.
Here is a link to their latest teaser video for the current Fall Booster pack. Watch this and tell me you don't get excited to play this game... all scenes are ingame shots, it looks that good.

They model armour ect.. The same as WW2OL in that respec. You can either drive a tank alone or sharing positions with another player like WW2Ol.
Watch that video and let me know what you think.
It would be awesome if more of you would give this game a try. Right now its just me and Makarov who I haven't seen online in days.
Here are some other videos showcasing the game.
