This game looks incredible. Finally a game that takes advantage of what The Source engine can do.

If you have a steam accont log in and go to the media section and download the hi-res promo videos of this game and be amazed.

For anyone that doesn't have steam try this link for video showcasing the game.

http://media.pc.ign.com/media/736/736193/vids_3.html

choose the video in the lower left called "E3 Walkthrough"

I suggest you get a steam account just to watch these videos in hi-res.

I can only imagine how fun 3d sword fighting would be in muiltiplayer.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game, if only to shrink a bad guy and then crush him with my boot!   evil

The demo was fun.  First person shooter with swords, bows, and magic. Not sure if there will be a LAN option.

very bloody at times though.

Yeah, its a lot like a cross between hexen and thief, depending on where you put your skill points.

Its a lot of fun to kick a guy off a cliff, or into a thoughtfully placed spike rack.

freezing guys and shattering them with a sword.

This will be a lot of fun.

I'm looking forward to the multiplayer sword fights. There was a game back in the late 90's that had a similar style sword play ( forgot the name). Been waiting for a game like this to change up the WW2 monotony game genre.

The sites say this month, and I was able to pre-load it on steam, so I'm guessing within a week.

The multiplayer version doesn't seem to be ready yet, so I'm not sure if they're coming out at the same time or what.

I havn't seen anything giving a specific date, altho on the forums it sounds like there are a few show stopper multiplayer bugs.

woo. Its out today.

It has some bugs. The worst is that the sound files for most of the dialog is jacked, so you get to hear some really loud static whenever anyone talks. There is a patch, but reports are that it doesn't fix the sound issue.

Now the steam servers are slow, so I won't be able to get the MP or patch for a while.

Its fun tho, there seems to be quite a few types of weapons and spells. You can mix and match quite a bit. Plus there are different types of armor, rings, other enchanted things.

ooo, thanks for posting this. I'll definitely wait for the sounds to be patched. That's just really bad and should never have made it through QA.

Looks like I'll just wait and get NWN2 next week instead, and pick up Dark Messiah in a month or so. Of course, NWN2 will probably be buggy as hell too.

A number of patches came out yesterday, so just about everything is ok in single player.

There seems to be some bugs when connecting in MP, it takes forever to get into the game if it doesn't crash.

Word is that an official patch will be out in a few days.

Its a pretty fun game when it works. Single player is a blast. Multiplayer is odd. Its battefield with wizards, knights. Can't get it to run too well, so i can't say much about gameplay.

I'm still holding out on this one. Tooo many people upset with the release. I'll give it a patch or two so I can enjoy the game without the current issues.

How is the multiplayer I sooo hoping it's like the old game "Blade of Darkness".. Remeber that game?

How is the box play, (AI)? With my dial up I will not be able to do any online play.

Screen shots anyone?

I don't know if you can play multiplayer with bots. Never tried.

For screenshots, here is a page of them

http://media.pc.ign.com/media/736/736193/imgs_1.html

They don't really show how the game works, like the videos do.

Multiplayer isn't like single player anyhow. There is no kicking for one. You get a subset of skills depending on which class you choose. It seems lacking overall.

Played some NWN2, wish I knew about that before I bought DM. It has its bugs, but it has a lot more going for it.

I think I'm just burnt out on FPS type games. Except for maybe halflife 3.

I just picked it up now that the patches came out.

This game is neat. Reminds me of the old game Thief.

It feels like I'm in a movie.
