I have giving up trying to fix my stuttering problem. Now it is even locking up. Tried 5 times to fly last night but I can only get on for 5 minuntes or less. I am going to reformat. I hope this weekend.

I should add that sondog and Heavy dragged several down away from you guys. At one point I think sondog had 4 behind him, then finally two. He took them out to sea on the deck. I just checked the logs. Over 40 objects destroyed and 6 AC shot down. Nicely done! Wink

We rolled from the CV in the wrong place, but still had plenty of fuel to reach target and RTB.  All that meant was the timing was off.  We (or at least I) never saw a TBM.

It was a fun run into the target.  Tree tops were whizing by, the town was toast real fast.  Then the keystone cops (maddog and sarge) couldn't make up their minds which way to egress  laugh  The Ki's came in fast and high.  In the ensueing dogfight Argyll and I got a couple ... my night was ruined by a tree ... I hate it when that happens.

We were a little 'MA-like' at times.  With 4 or 5 chasing 1 guy while others were struggling to shake cons off their tail.  All in all we destroyed the target.  It was a fun night.

I was really P.O'd for a while last night after another debacle  angry9.  If our CV had launched us at the correct spot, we would not have ran into the scout, our location would not have been compromised, and we would have had a better chance getting to the target as a group (I turned back to pick up Outlaw and got separated from the group).  Then I started thinking about it.  In real life, even the best laid plans rarely go off without a hitch. There were (are) plenty of "debacles" in war, oftentimes leading to an untimely death of our warriors.  War is HELL!

I dove down behind the group and tried to make it through the mountains on the deck, but ended up with 4 KI's on my tail.  I was trying to coax one into an overshoot when I augered.  He didn't get one ping on me, and I didn't fire a shot.  In hindsight, what I should have done is reverse the second I saw 4 on me, and dragged them back to the west out over the water away from the group.  In the fog of war, things don't always go like they should.   icon_salut

Does anyone else hate P-38's like I do?  If I see one, I will bypass a formation of enemy C-47's and go for it.  Spit 16's are a close second.
