Can't network Aces High anymore

I can play Starwars, Tiberum Sun, Medal of Honor... but I can't play AH over my two systems any more.  Started after I put in the new hard drive starbird sent me a couple of months ago.

I will put up the host on my system, and my kids system will see it about 1/2 the time.  When my kids system tries to join my system starts to freeze. Same with my kids system.  The couple of times my kids system makes it in the game it gets dropped within a minute.

Both have Win XP Pro. I even have it set up so my kids system can get on the Internet via mine and that works fine. Can't figure it out since I am able to play any other game between the two systems.

Ideas?

daddog, I would give Skuzzy a call, or drop him a line. I'm sure he'd have a few ideas.

Haven't played with this, but make sure the firewall settings that come by default with XP are allowing the ports.  On the H2H or technical issues there is a list of ports that the "server" [your system] would need to have unblocked.

If I remember right, XP automatically loads a firewall and restricts port access.  Skuzzy should be able to assist you.

mother board went flooey cant load up cmos or anything else had electrical storm. had to take parts out of P4 and resort back to my slow pent3 550 can get on line but guess i will have to get stuck this way. will search for a new p4 MB this weekend see where i can find one.  memory isnt much in this one and game fps suck. only have a ati 128rage Vid card highest output is 800600would like to find the same one i have now thenit can drop it in in a few minutes.. well back to drawing board still can chat...lol i will live that way....lol  but will have to do something for AH was on but so laggy thought i was on dial up...lol talk to you all later.. sorry to miss out on tonight wanted to fly

wouldnt ya know Board was discontinued. I have to look for a intel 850gb It is Pent 4 423 pin cpu. now all pent 4 cpu's are 478 pin and have new memeory too. want to keep old cpu and memory, found a place that has it but waiting for info on it. Hope to see ya on friday, this vid card has real low fps dont know if lag will be so bad i cant fly. dont look so ggod in MA 20 fps might have to GV for awhile

The vid card on your old system? Once you are up with a new MB you will be set again right?
