Was not too bad. Just wish sondog had not bit it from the ack on the first pass. I know he was upset about that.

I just check the logs...

5 kills
36 objects destroyed.
9 deaths.

I did note that Sour has a new award coming to him.  Tongue

I noticed two dogs have that award coming.  My night went something like this... (approaching the port)... "heavy, you have a hurr....."  (heavy arrives at tower)  "...icane diving on you".   :bang:      You guys pounded the port pretty well though, good job!

Don't know where the cap went.   It seems that no matter where we go when we are carrying bombs, our escort is no where to be found.  If the JB's launched a good 5 mins before the main group, why did we have to turn back and hold before heading to the target?  Most likely another astronaut climb into the ionosphere.  If I were protecting a group of NOE bombers, I'd have a mid high cap (10 k max), along with a lower one, especially if we were in 109's.  You just can't dive a 109 from 20K in a timelty manner.  (Arm chair quarterbacking my specialty!)

It was still fun though.  I gained a new appreciation for the frustration the rear gunner must have felt.  Just as you get lined up to shoot at something, your front seater jinks or banks away and spoils the shot.

Does anyone else hate P-38's like I do?  If I see one, I will bypass a formation of enemy C-47's and go for it.  Spit 16's are a close second.

It says I shot down Sour. I did have a couple of pings on his plane when I was too close to him when were doing ground attacks on the Port.

He was then shot down later by a Spit. I bet the Spit pliot is mad because he didn't get the Kill.

And I have already won the Nifty award  Tongue

I am guessing that Ghosth was out of position and got fragged by one of my bombs that I dropped on the 1st two ammo bunkers. The logs show that Ghosth died at the same time as my 1st two bunker hits.  Teedawg and I were able to take
out all of our primary targets.

Teedawg was awarded a kill for my death due to a couple of inadvertant pings on me as he was following me down
as we were strafing the 2nd set of ammo bunkers. Later on got tossed into the water by some poor piloting avoiding a
spit down low.

The hurri kill I got must have been the guy we were all fighting off. I was able to give him a nice face shot. I was
suprised he didn't go down right away.
