VILLAGE IDIOT

« on: December 03, 2005, 08:33:13 AM »

Maddog led us in the Ju's and did a wonderful job.  He even got us to target.  I was barely able to roll and dropped my ord to get off the ground.  It was almost as if my plane had its brakes on.  I will shoot my crew chief for that one.

So, I flew tail end charlie with argyll, us canucks got the crappy planes.  As we ran in to target we met several Hurri's.  I began engaging them since I had no bombs and tried to help the 109's.  I had hits on probably 5 or 6 Hurri's and watched one auger behind me while turning.  I was given credit for 1 maneuver kill and 1 kill .. somebody probably finished off a Hurricane that I holed.

Second life in a Bf109 saw me fly to A46, engage a Hurricane with about 4 others.  I flew into a tree ... yeah I know.   :bang:

Man! I really wanted to fly with you guys. Was too sick 2 Friday's past and last Friday was our night off. Just did not work out. Gloria was late coming back and it was too late to fly with you all.

I will check the logs.

Oh by the way, most of you know the old log links don't work, but forHIM who has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes for CM's put up a new one for everyone in events.

I see we had excellent numbers. 14 pilots. Smiley  Glad Dux flew with us. He is a great guy.

Yes, Dux and Weapon were with us, weapon had an issue with logging out and in, so he didn't show.  This reminds me (next time you're in the SEA, could you give a few of us the ability to change the squad name?  apparently there is a trick that is we do a .sqdname 332nd.... while in flight or in the tower, it will ensure that we are all in our uniforms in the logs).

A note on the setup:  I was brain dead and thought that frame 1 would be the getting the flotilla into dunkirk and the latter frames would be the outbound setup.  Guess I should have read the write-up / orders more closely.  Smiley

I will do that tonight. Smiley

Never head of that trick before.  Where did you pick that one up?

It was in one of the CM threads that I'd saw it.  I think ROC or BlkKnit indicated that was how they avoided having their guys auger after launching.  I'm not sure if it truely works, but I thought we could try it.
