Hi all.

I have downloaded the training films from the page in the new member welcome email at
http://www.332nd.org/acm.htm

These films all have extension  ".ram".   Films made within AH2 have the extension ".ahf".   The training film files do not play in either AH2 film viewer or Windows Media Player.

I have no idea where the training films come from, but I am looking for a viewer.  Daddog and Maddog have discussed this item with me briefly in AH2.  That is where I got the idea to try the Windows Media Player.  I think Daddog suggested using the REAL media player but I suspect that if the file does not play in  WMP it won't play in REAL.

Any idea where I can find a viewer to use?

Help - cause my flying desperately needs it.  :bang:

Thanks in advance

Been looking for a "free" Real Player Basic for 30 min. Can't find one.

My Windows Media player will not play the .ram files.   <_<

I need to find an old copy of Real Player and post it on the same page as the ACM films so new fellows as yourself can view them.

Anyone have a copy of Real Player that I could post on our site to squadies to download?

Carb, try this.
http://proforma.real.com/real/player/blackjack.html
They have a long list of old Real Players. I will download the Real Player 8 for XP later. It is about 4 megs which will take me an hour or so.

Daddog

For the last year I've been using the real alternative.
Free, small, no spyware, no reporting back to big brother.
Just a nice neat no nonsense piece of software that plays everything.
Its actually built from the same open source as the RealPlayer.

Only minus the ads, the pop ups, the bloat that is RealPlayer.

Anyone interested can go here & try it themselves.
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_A...Alternative.htm
(Or do a quick google search for "real alternative" its mirrored all over)
File btw is about 5.8 mb in size.

Hey...Thanks to all for the replies and help.  Problem fixed.

I tried downloading REAL Player but AdSubtract blocked it.  :pinch:   I try not to use programs that add stuff to my machine.  I then tried downloading Ghosth's suggestion of REALALT.  It downloaded fine and I can view the files.  :ban:

I will watch the films and head to the practice arena and see if I can duplicate them.

Thanks

Excellent.

I will have to figure out a way to add a downloadable link to that page for Real or what Ghosth suggested. Smiley

Carb -- do some searchs on htc's bb system, especially under the training areas and you will find some ACM films by levi, soda, wldthing, ack-ack and even shane (well shane's are just brags Smiley )  They are usually ahf films and you can manipulate them just like normal ah films -- that is you can jump in the other guys planes, see how the "pros" use SA, turn on trails to see the move, etc.

If you do that forHIM I will post those BB links on our ACM film page. Those would be good also.
